Project Development Engineer
Soung-Un (Ana Cecilia) is an Argentinian native with a degree in Textile Technology and 5 years of experience in Medical Product Development from design to manufacturing. She recently served as a Product Developer for a Medical Textile Manufacturer.
Soung-Un has developed and launched 15+ projects under the expected timelines and created multiple internal procedures to integrate the control of new technology. Some of her achievements includes, the root cause analysis of a 0% FPY failing production line and the improvements implementation for a 93% FPY in under 2 weeks; the development of the first fully RF welded line with 0% complaints, lowest scrap rate and fastest launch, in this development Soung-Un designed all tools and custom equipment, identified and qualified all new materials, trained manufacturing engineers and oversaw production training. Soung-Un has also implemented a Poka-Yoke process for several manufacturing lines to prevent quality errors and develop internal process for creating UDI (Unique Device Identification) labeling and control.
Soung-Un has also been responsible for all Spanish to English translation and interpretation; identifying and qualifying materials, textiles and manufacturing solutions that will offer cost efficiency, consistency, and advance manufacturing options while maintaining customer’s requirements; programing and overseeing sewing machine programs for optimal performance time, designing CAD files required per project, designing optimal CNC cutting pattern. She has also developed a 3D printing procedure for sampling tools during the developing stages of a project.
She received her BS in Textile Technology – Textile Design from North Carolina State University.
